Problems by High heels

High heels definitely add to your glam quotient, but wear them right to save your posture.
DON'T BEND TOO MUCH
Watch your walk while wearing high heels as it places extra pressure on the knee, and may result in osteoarthritis.
ANGLE IT RIGHT
The calf muscles may contract and adjust to the angle of the high heels. They may shorten or tighten, causing pain.
ACHILLES TENDON
When the front of your foot moves down in relation to the heel, the tendon tightens up. It results in pain in the foot.
STRAP TALE
Beware of those heel straps that can make your walk uncomfortable by developing an enlargement called Haglund's Deformity.
ANKLE INJURY
Be more cautious while stepping out because wearing those high- heeled shoes might impair your balance, leading to a broken ankle.
METATARSALGIA
When you wear those sky-touching heels, the body weight gets redistributed unnaturally resulting in joint pain in the ball of the foot.
Height of Your Heel
Biomechanical changes occur on the feet while wearing high heels. The correlation between the heel height and amount of pain, pressure and strain is felt on your feet. Check out how heel height puts pressure on the forefoot:
3 inch heel +76%
2 inch heel +57%
1 inch heel +22%

Wrong Posture
High heels push the centre of mass in the body forward, taking the hips and the spine out of alignment.
Watch Your Toe
High heels push the lumbar spine into a stretched mode and that takes a toll on your lower back.
BUNIONS or painful swellings of the big toe. They are caused by pressure and ill-fitting shoes.
NERVE DAMAGE on the sole of the foot can cause numbness and pain. It is very common with high heels.
